Pakistan flamboyant all-rounder Shahid Afridi reached a unique milestone during first ODI against South Africa at Bloemfontein when his second six of the innings made him first batsman ever in history of One Day Internationals to hit 300 sixes.

Afridi, who was stuck on 298 sixes as he hadn’t hit any in nearly a year, finally reached triple century of what he is known for when he connected Rory Kleinveldt’s delivery to midwicket. In his innings, 34 off 16 balls, he hit three sixes, including one that was literally sent out of park, in the parking lot, reminding many of his vintage hits from late ’90s and early 2000.
The 33-year-old Shahid Afridi also became 8th player and third from Pakistan, after Wasim Akram and Inzamam-ul-Haq, to make 350 appearances in ODI Cricket but he missed out on reaching 350 wickets. He at the moment has 348 in ODIs.
He now needs 15 more sixes to become first batsman to hit 400 in International Cricket.

2. Sanath Jayasuriya (270)
